The LG 60PV490 and 60PZ850 are two 60-inch plasma HDTVs with the latest PenTouch technology, which enables writing on the screen with special pens.

Both TVs are full HD and have a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and support both digital and analog broadcast systems. The use of pens requres a Windows PC, onto which you can preload LG’s software for pen use, such as image editing, drawing, and other apps. Also, if you want to go online with these TVs, you will have to use the PC, since the TV sets don’t have Internet connectivity.

So, whats the main difference between the LG 60PV490 and 60PZ850? Its 3D capability in the latter. The 60PZ850 is also TNX-certified for both 2D and 3D, and supports 2D-to-3D conversion.

There’s one field in which the 640PV940 wins versus the 60PZ850. It’s the price. The former costs about $1,400 (Amazon), while the latter is priced at around $1,900 (Amazon).
